The veranda had a lovely, peaceful view of trees, and the simple inn was about what I expected for the price. Breakfast was simple and tasty, but it started over 40 minutes late. The posted time was 8:00, yet it began well after 8:30. The room smelled moldy and had no sound insulation. As a light sleeper, I struggled with the noise. Service was the worst part. Just one employee was handling reception, cleaning and preparing rooms, helping guests, and cooking at the restaurant. It was disorganized and made everything take ages. Our juice and snack portion took a long time. They show photos of a fire pit, but when I asked what time it would be lit, I was ignored. There was no fire, even though it was a cold Saturday night. The inn says its restaurant serves lunch, but at the usual lunchtime we were told we couldn’t order because the only employee was cleaning rooms. We could only eat after 3 p.m. 🤡

For what this inn is meant to offer, I think it’s good value. You can’t expect luxury at such a low price. Better towels and softer blankets would make it more comfortable, sure, but I’ve paid more for places that were much worse.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this inn surprised me in a good way. The rooms were extremely clean, and the staff were polite and made us feel completely at ease. I was charmed by the whole place. Thanks, and I’ll be back soon.

The breakfast was generous and had plenty of variety, though every plate was still wet, which felt careless. The pool looked much larger in the listing photos. With more than 10 rooms, it could comfortably fit only about six people, so swimming wasn’t really possible. I stayed just one day at the end of the year. The room was basic, as expected, and I knew there was no air conditioning, though a portable fan was provided. What I hadn’t expected was the strong musty smell. It looked clean, but the floor felt sticky underfoot, and the towels were tiny and thin, almost like dishcloths, even if they smelled clean. I often stay in hotels but rarely leave reviews. This time I felt I should warn people. The nightly rate is low, but for less stress I’d rather pay for a chain hotel like an Ibis and just visit Macacos. I booked for three people over WhatsApp, then Igor, the attendant who lives nearby but apparently doesn’t stay on site, surprised me by charging an extra R$ 100,00 for the single bed. He kept pushing for the extra to be paid by PIX. I agreed to the charge to avoid an argument, despite having proof of what we’d agreed, but refused to pay by PIX and put everything on my card.
