Recanto Vale do Sol

We chose this country house for its layout and space and stayed for four days over the October 12 holiday. The house itself is very good and roomy, and the kitchen utensils were clean. But the nights were awful. We had 17 adults and several kids, and the freezer listed at the property was broken when we arrived, so we had to spend money on ice because one fridge couldn't hold all the drinks and meat. On the first night, after a day at the park, we turned on the pool light and beetles swarmed the veranda. The kids were scared and stayed inside. We messaged the owner for advice on what to do, since he lives in the area, but got no answer. The next night we left the pool light off and it was even worse. We sent photos and videos, but he said it was nature and there was nothing he could do. The house has no air conditioning, so the children were stuck indoors in the heat. The kitchen is on the veranda, and beetles landed on everything. We had to sweep them up every morning, wash the whole yard and clean the pool. We couldn't sit outside, use the pool at night or even make food comfortably. We had planned a Saturday night party for one of the kids, but couldn't bring them outside. Neighbors told us yellow lights are the first thing to try in this area, so why hadn't the owner put them in or suggested other ways to reduce the problem? He didn't send anyone to clean the pool, and when we left he didn't come to hear us out, just called and asked us to leave the key on top of the fridge. We couldn't upload all the photos and videos. My friends and I would never recommend this place, mainly because the owner made no effort to help.
