ibis Ourinhos

The place was clean and comfortable, though it needs some repairs and a few things seem like afterthoughts. The fridge is wedged into the corner of the clothes cabinet, and there’s no liquid soap. I wouldn’t recommend breakfast: the quality is only marginal, with mostly sugary, carb-heavy options and nothing decent.

In room 564, both the faucet and shower water seemed to have a film on it. There was no smell, but it wouldn't wash off even with soap. My wife and I found the water downstairs was fine when we washed our hands there.

The staff were consistently polite and helpful, and the buffet breakfast had a good variety and was clean. Those were the only real positives for me. The hotel is already old, especially the rooms and bathrooms. The room finish felt cheap and damaged, and the decor and condition reminded me of MOTELs. A ceiling mirror would have completed that look. The bathroom needs better cleaning, with mouldy silicone along the shower edges. The shower head comes straight from the ceiling in a “prison style” setup. I haven't been in prison, but that's what I imagine it looks like. The towels were awful, like exfoliating cloths, and the toiletries were the cheapest quality. I was very disappointed in Accord Group for running a hotel like this. There aren't other good or similar hotel chain options in this city, unfortunately, but the staff were still the only good thing about the stay.

From check-in through departure, everything went just right. The room was clean, the shower was good, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good too.
