We had a cute little balcony in our room, with a light and power outlet at every bed. The hostel is very clean and well organized, and its location in the historic center is privileged. The building is shared with Pousada Caminhos da Liberdade, though there isn’t really a hostel name displayed, which could confuse visitors. Breakfast isn’t included in the daily rate; we paid $20 extra. It was plentiful and tasty. The downside is that the bathroom is far from the room, but that’s part of staying in an old building.

It felt like staying in a very old home, and the hostel was clean and airy. The service was excellent, with staff who were kind and helpful. It’s very close to praça Tiradentes and the place where tour guides start their trips. Preservation rules meant there was no air conditioning, but even in summer, the breeze from the window felt wonderfully cool.

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the staff were really attentive. There’s a lovely garden at the entrance and a beautiful view of the city out back. It’s a peaceful place, close to both the historic center and the bus station, which is a big convenience. Breakfast was great, too.

It’s a quiet hostel, and the beds are comfortable. But there was a lot of noise from the rooms next door, and the bathrooms were quite dirty.

Breakfast was wonderful and the service excellent. The place is well located, close to praça Tiradentes and the bus stop for buses to Mariana.
