Tiago, Carol, Tainá and Vi made our stay with their thoughtful, attentive service, and the outdoor fireplace made for a beautiful experience. The breakfast was excellent, and they even pay for private waste collection for selective disposal. I’ve been coming to Capão since 2007 and watched it change from a simple hippie village into a more “gourmetized” place. After years of camping, staying at a pousada here for the second time was one of my best experiences in the village. Zazen is a five-minute walk from the center along a dirt road. Rain makes that walk less comfortable, but it’s not much of a hassle. The facilities are good, and they deserve every star. Totally recommended!

We could hear all kinds of noise from the upstairs rooms echoing through the bathroom in our lower-floor room. It’s a bit noisy for somewhere that’s supposed to be “zen,” because of how the building is constructed.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the location is good, less than five minutes on foot from the little town center. Wileyde, Thiago and Carol were so friendly. Breakfast was natural, tasty, varied, and made in house. The pousada is pretty and rustic, with hammocks, and a great place to relax. We also loved how flexible they were in negotiating an adjustment to the price so we could check in early and leave after the usual check-out time. I highly recommend Pousada Zazen!
