Camboa Hotel Paranagua

The staff were very kind, and I was impressed by the indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, and steam room. Breakfast was really good too. The bathrooms and toilets need renovating, though, and the fitness room was a mess: just three old treadmills and one old spin bike.

The reception staff were kind enough to lend us a football, which is why I'm giving it two stars. There's a football field on the grounds. The hotel itself is getting old, though the room was clean. Breakfast was awful, with tiny portions and no choice. There was no lunch on site, so you had to order delivery, and dinner was simple. No amenities were available, which was understandable due to COVID-19.

We picked a garden view room to avoid the pool noise, and it was big and clean. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were really nice and helpful. We enjoyed our two nights at Camboa Hotel, a family friendly place with lots of families around the pool. We went to Ilha do Mel for a day tour. The ferry was 35R per person and parking was 25R. We were told hiking from one end of the island to the other takes 5 hours.

The room cards often didn't work. Rooms weren't cleaned every day, and when someone did clean, the job was poor: dirty beds, towels, toilet, and shower, with black spots. The windows were dirty too. The whole place felt cheap, like a motel packed into a large hotel.
