Casa Paraty

The room was downstairs, and whenever someone stayed above me, the wooden ceiling seemed like it might give way right over my head. The lighting in the rooms wasn't good either. I also found the reception awful. It took hours for the room to be ready, and for much of the stay there was no one responsible around when I needed something. There was no hot water, the internet was poor, and there was no signal at the location. They didn't even have cold water in the accommodation's filter.

We really liked the place, it was pleasant and peaceful, and the room itself was good with plenty of outlets. Cleanliness could have been better organized, though, especially the bed linens. The shower also wasn't hot enough for anyone who likes really hot water. Still, for the price, it was worth it.

We stayed from January 23-26, 2026, and found the place good and quiet. The rest was all really nice, with a trampoline, pool, and gourmet area. One suggestion for the owner, not a complaint: there's room for a garage, but it's not practical as it is. My car is insured, but I'd feel bad leaving it on the street when there's space there. I'm a builder, so I joked that I'd build the wall and install a working sliding gate in exchange for a stay at the house, haha.

Iris was so friendly and attentive, and even left some toys on the veranda for the kids. It was a big plus that dogs are welcome, and the pool and backyard were great for adults to relax with a little barbecue while the children played. The house has a warm, family feel, with room for a bit of happy chaos, and I felt at home right away. It's peaceful and conveniently close to waterfalls and just minutes from downtown. Casa Caminho das Águas is a charming place, and I can't wait to come back for more good memories. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, authentic stay!!!!!!!!1
