I had a health problem and couldn’t travel, so I asked for help as a solo traveler five days before the reservation. They refused any accommodation or partial refund. There was no flexibility or empathy, and it felt like they cared only about the money, not their guests. If you want a place with warmth and good vibes, avoid this hostel. There are plenty of other places in Paraty that actually care about travelers.

The river setting was stunning, with lovely views and a peaceful feel. Sitting by the water or getting fresh air on the terrace made it feel like a real escape. Inside, everything was clean, comfortable and well designed, and the pool was a great place to cool off or chat with other travelers. The common areas were spacious, stylish and welcoming, whether you wanted to meet people or relax with a book. Staff were very friendly and happy to offer recommendations. The location, facilities and laid-back atmosphere made this one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. I’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone after a relaxing, social stay.

The private room felt like home, and so did the rest of the place. It’s peaceful, beautiful and in a perfect location. Eric and the staff were so friendly and attentive, and breakfast was delicious. We also had an amazing boat tour with a lovely captain, Gabriel. This is the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. I’d definitely recommend it and hope to come back soon. Thank you, Kate and Josh.

The owners were very helpful when fixing a booking mistake, and I could easily spend a week here next year. It’s on the canal and has a very nice pool for a quick dip. The building is elegant, and the rooms are well decked out in granite. Paraty itself was great too. My one small complaint is that the hall light stays on and there’s no blackout curtain, so bring your own blackout blindfolds. Still, this is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at.

I loved this hostel and the tours they offer. I’d recommend it.
