I’m back to report again in 2026 after visiting in 2021: this establishment is awful. Reviews on travel apps are fake, supposedly written by “friends” who live nearby. The inn is run down, full of insects, and has no facilities. The TV and air conditioning they advertise don’t work. When you complain, they say they’ll fix things but never do. That’s a common scam at inns in the area, too. Cat feces and urine are everywhere. There’s no security, with people coming and going day and night, and you can’t tell whether they’re guests or employees. It’s a complete mess. They change the name sometimes, but it’s the inn at the very end of Rua Pedro Rosa.

Alisson Willian and Janaina in the kitchen provided great service. The inn itself was filthy and had no proper facilities. The toilet wouldn’t flush, so we had to fetch water and pour it in with a bucket. They said they’d fix it, and I left the key so they could, then spent the day at the beach. When I got back at night, nothing had been done. The next day I took my key with me, but later realized someone had entered my room without permission. They said they needed to go in to clean, but it was still dirty. I hadn’t authorized entry and had taken my key. The owner was never around; only the staff tried to sort things out as best they could. After lots of complaints about this, I got a partial refund for each night. Juice and yogurt were left in the sun at breakfast and got warm, so they could spoil. There was a strong cat pee smell near the sandwich maker, and cat poop all over the parking area. The place was very dirty, and I never saw an employee cleaning. The cleaning was poor. The minibar was completely rusty and I was afraid to put anything in it because of contamination.

The reception was good and the staff were attentive, and the location is great with parking. But the room wasn’t pleasant for resting. I booked through Booking after seeing photos of a simple but cozy place, then arrived to a strong mold smell, crumbling plaster, and a ceiling that looked like it could fall on me at any moment. The outlets didn’t work and the bed was bad. Anyone with allergies or rhinitis should be ready with allergy medicine. The inn needs a major renovation.

I stayed on July 30 and 31. After the beach I was desperate for a hot shower, but the shower in my suite 17 didn’t work, even after I followed their instructions. Nobody offered to fix it, and an employee told me to wait for other guests because the system couldn’t handle it. They cared so little that I was told to wait for Guilherme, who was somewhere, to speed things up. I paid $350 and spent the whole weekend like that. Even camping is better. Other rooms had TVs, but mine didn’t, though a TV was listed when I booked. From the response, it seems they don’t even have a remote. I’d rather not get into the mold. I paid to see for myself. The employee said the door wouldn’t lock with a key, though he claimed it might with some fiddling, but I couldn’t manage it. Everyone was quite rude. At 6 am I was woken by someone cleaning and banging a squeegee on my door. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8, so that was hardly comfortable. A frustrating stay. I don’t recommend it unless you want a headache. I pay for comfort, not cake, and there are much better places I’ll stay at now. I don’t know the parallel universe where the owners say everything is perfect, but apparently there’s no Procon in Vila.

The staff were lovely and very proactive, helping however they could, but the inn itself was awful. Our room smelled so strong we had to buy incense to try to cover it, and the beds and mattresses were very old. The bathroom toilet was broken when I arrived, so I had to leave the room and come back later. On another day, someone from the inn opened our door while we were asleep. Then at 7 in the morning, a guy was applying wall filler in the room. How are you meant to sleep like that? The place seemed very dirty too. My room listing said we’d have a minibar, but on arrival they said it meant there was one in the shared kitchen. What does a shared kitchen have to do with a minibar? The worst experience. Don’t go.
