We arrived excited about this supposed “charming” riverside place, but that feeling didn’t last. The online photos gave a misleading impression. It’s far from the city center, in a rough part of town where I wouldn’t feel safe walking at night. We were told to leave the car outside the walls on a dirt road, and I worried it might not be there in the morning. The place was dirty and run down, with nowhere comfortable to sit together. Our bed wasn’t made, so we saw the stained mattress and worn-out pillows as soon as we arrived. We left our non-refundable deposit behind and found a nicer place much closer to the centro for about the same price. Go somewhere else!

A lovely place to stay in Paraty, with cute cabanas surrounded by nature. The breakfast was great, with a view of the pool and river, and everyone was nice. The service was great too!

A peaceful pousada in Paraty, surrounded by greenery. Everything was clean and looked well cared for, and the breakfast was delicious, clearly made with care. A lovely choice if you want to unwind and enjoy nature.
