We liked all the little touches. It’s a quiet spot near the beach, with a few restaurants close by, and the staff were really helpful with suggestions for places to eat and visit. Breakfast was simple but very good, with plenty of variety. A great choice if you’d rather stay outside the city center.

It was a very quiet place, and everyone respected that we went to bed early each day. The room was clean, breakfast had a good range of choices, and the staff were kind and helpful. We stayed with our two-year-old daughter and felt comfortable there.

The room had ants on the table, no hair dryer or bedside lamp, a broken door handle, no safe, and Wi-Fi so slow I couldn’t get my work done from there. I emailed the owner and got no reply. When I spoke to him in person, he said he had nothing to say and that booking it was my mistake. I laid out the problems and said I expected a refund, but he took no responsibility and blamed me again. I paid $150 a night for December 30 and 31, even though the usual price wouldn’t be more than $50. I thought the amount was in reais, not dollars, and at that price I expected the place to be really nice. I knew the holiday period affected the rate, but I still expected the owner to take responsibility for the issues. I felt his response was greedy, especially since he knew I hadn’t meant to book at that price. The whole experience was disappointing.
