Pousada Casa Hospedaria

We had a lovely stay at Pousada Casa Hospedaria Paraty. The rooms were nice and very clean, and the hostess was friendly and helpful. She also served the best breakfast!

The pousada met my expectations. The room and bathroom were excellent, and breakfast was simple but delicious. There’s no private parking, though you can park on the street outside the pousada.

Paraty is a place I love, and this pousada is part of that for me. My husband and I are always welcomed with so much warmth by Suzy, Renato and Rafael, a wonderful, welcoming family who own the place. The team is attentive too, and the rooms are always clean and tidy. I especially love that it’s pet friendly. I bring my elderly little dog, and everyone treats her so well. I’ve also stayed there alongside other guests and their pets, and the animals always get the same affection. The location is excellent, close to the historic center and about 10 minutes from a lovely beach where we like to relax. It’s the perfect place to rest, recharge and feel at home. I don’t stay anywhere else!

It was a shame I couldn’t fit all my family into Casa Hospedaria, so some had to stay next door. The photos show the rooms as they really are, and the good service starts when you first get in touch to book and continues right through checkout. The pousada is just a few meters from the historic center and close to restaurants, a pharmacy and a small grocery store. Rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and good linens. The bathroom is roomy too, and the shower is lovely. Lili makes breakfast with care and a cheerful, friendly manner. It’s simple, but generous and everything tastes great. I recommend staying here without hesitation.
