We loved relaxing in Paraty in the hammock in our room. The staff were helpful and arranged a day trip to several Cachaca distilleries when I asked. It was a wonderful stay, and we’ll be back!

The owner was very friendly and pointed us toward local restaurants for dinner. Our room was clean and pleasant, with a fantastic sea view. Breakfast was vegetarian, which I personally loved. Highly recommended!

It was hard to find, but once we got there, the person at reception was very helpful.

The receptionist was friendly, but our room had no window and breakfast was poor.

I booked through Booking.com three months ahead for peak season. The room listing didn’t say whether I’d get a superior room or one reached by stairs, though the general description said superior rooms were accessed by stairs. When I got in touch, they told me it was a four-story room reached by stairs. I asked to switch rooms and they refused. The service was terrible and showed no consideration. I felt they held back information, which is tantamount to lying. Then, after I canceled 30 days before my carefully planned trip during peak season, they penalized me. I don’t recommend this place. They lack customer service skills and are known for being dishonest.
