The owners were kind, though they spoke Portuguese and Spanish but no English. Our room was very small for five people, and it wasn’t very clean. There were a few mosquitoes. Breakfast came with the stay, and they served cake every day. The place was okay, but I wouldn’t return.

The kitchen had only very basic utensils, there was just one bathroom for everyone and it wasn’t clean, and the music was extremely loud. I felt really disrespected by the sleeping conditions. I stayed three nights in a tiny room with four bunk beds. The mattress was so thin I could feel the boards through it, the old sheet was thin and fraying, and the pillow was barely two fingers thick. The bunk bed made so much noise I was afraid it would come apart. I told them about the mattress and asked if it could be changed. Pablo offered to move me to another room, but I was with my friend and we couldn’t sleep separately. I don’t understand why changing rooms was possible but changing the mattress wasn’t. I spent awful nights awake. This place feels like a house hastily turned into a travel hostel, as if people assume a hostel can just be a mess. They need to improve.
