Ti Hostel Trindade

We can do everything in Trindade on foot, and it’s only about a two minute walk to Praia do Meio. The location is great, and the price felt very fair. We only needed the car when we wanted to go to Paraty or somewhere else. The place has a kitchen and a deck where you can watch the main avenue. Patrícia was attentive from my first WhatsApp message and explained everything clearly. I’d contacted several other places, and most either didn’t answer or sent only an automatic reply, and they were much more expensive. Bruno welcomed me and was really helpful too, as were the friendly cleaning staff. I loved everything and would happily recommend it. I hope to come back! I stayed on 05/01/2026.

The view is beautiful, but our stay at Trindade Hospeda, house 1, was a bad experience. I know things are simple in Trindade, but this house was disappointing. The price felt high for what we got, and I wouldn’t return or recommend it, especially to families wanting a bit of comfort or planning to cook there. The house is right by the beach, but it’s Praia dos Ranchos, where bars put tables out front and it’s always crowded, especially in high season. The entrance stairs are unsafe, with high steps that make things hard for anyone with mobility difficulties. There’s nowhere to wash your feet, the lighting is poor, and the utensils are very worn. There wasn’t even a decent cup. The mattresses were awful, like a pile of straw. It’s listed for 11 people, but with all 11 there it would be chaos. The photos make the place look much bigger than it really is. I’m used to rustic places, but this feels like neglect rather than simplicity. All in all, a frustrating stay.

I found it expensive for what was offered. The rooms upstairs are very basic, with no towels, old utensils and little care put into them. What they call houses are really shared studio apartments, right beside a parking area where six cars come and go at the door. If you can spend all your time at the beach, it may be fine. But if it rains and you need internet or even a little comfort, it’s going to be rough. I tried to nap while it was raining because the internet wasn’t working, and someone was breaking up the floor right over my head! Those conditions should be mentioned in the accommodation listing. Since it rains a lot here and you can’t predict the weather, I’d suggest finding somewhere more comfortable.

It’s right in the village center but still peaceful, and very close to the beaches. My studio was clean and well looked after. Everyone at the accommodation welcomed me warmly and took good care of me. I’d definitely stay again.
