Maper Ouro by Easy Hotels

A very comfortable stay in a family friendly setting. The manager was attentive, the whole team deserves praise, and both breakfast and the à la carte menu were delicious.

I usually stay at Maper, but this last visit was disappointing. We had issues with management because our team is staying at the hotel and may be moving out. My main frustration was the restaurant. The dishes have usually been good, but this time I ordered a chorizo steak that was supposed to take 20 minutes and waited an hour. The wait itself was fine, but the meat came out completely charred. My Caesar salad arrived without dressing, and they didn’t bring a glass. When I raised it with the restaurant manager, she said they were short staffed that day. They should have told us they couldn’t provide proper service, so I could have ordered from somewhere else. The whole experience has put me off the place.

It’s fairly well located, close to the entrance gate and with restaurants nearby. There’s parking and room service, though no pool or gym. The Wi-Fi worked well, the air conditioner wasn’t noisy, and the shower was good once it had time to heat up. The lobby and restaurant look high class, unlike the quite simple rooms. Breakfast is good, and lunch and dinner are very good, with prices that feel worthwhile.

The rooms are excellent and impeccably clean, and the staff are very attentive. Breakfast needs a lot of improvement for a hotel of this level: the choices are limited, both for food and drinks, and they’re the same every day. The sugar bowls in the breakfast room are full of ants, which shows a lack of attention. There also isn’t a staff member available to prepare an order on the spot.
