The place looks beautiful, but our stay at the inn was awful, and I’ve never spent so long writing a review. I feel obliged to warn others so they don’t get misled. Our booking was for January 13-18. I contacted the inn 47 days ahead to cancel after a problem came up, and was told the money wouldn’t be refunded under the inn’s policy. I accept that I should have noticed that when booking. I then asked to change the dates. The owner, who had been messaging me on WhatsApp while pretending to be an employee, said he’d pass it to management. Hours later, he agreed to reschedule within 90 days, but rudely described it as a favor. That set a bad tone before we even arrived. We’d booked the Superior Bungalow, the most expensive option because it was supposed to be oceanfront. We got there around 20:30, since our flight landed in Maceió at 17:30, and the impatient owner showed us to the chalet or bungalow. My wife reminded him that we’d booked an oceanfront place. He replied, “The sea is there, just look!” I knew then it would be a difficult stay. The website said the inn had a restaurant for lunch and dinner. We arrived hungry and asked if we could have dinner, but were told they only served it until 20:00. At breakfast the next morning, the only good part was the kitchen staff, who were very kind and attentive. The breakfast itself was simple and limited. The owner keeps the pantry key and controls what is given to guests. The beach shown in the photos wasn’t there as pictured. There’s a bank about 2.5 meters high between the inn and the beach. There’s also no lighting facing the beach, so at night you can only see the inn, not the beach, and can’t even go for a walk there. Staff leave at 17:00, so after that it’s best not to need anything. Only a guard remains to open the entrance gate. You park about 300 meters from the nearest chalet. Getting to the chalet dry also comes down to luck. The inn’s computerized irrigation switches on automatically at random times. The owner said it ran for 12 minutes overnight, but at 10:00 the next morning, on the 15th, three days before our booking ended, my wife and daughter and I were loading our open car to leave when it suddenly came on and soaked quite a bit inside.

This inn feels like a lovely place to unwind, read by the pool, or watch a beautiful sunset. There’s even a wonderful collection of books, and the staff can suggest local trips and restaurants. The owners are attentive and discreet, always making an effort to look after guests. I grew attached to them because they’re such generous, lovely people. They even went out to get watermelon and pineapple just because I like them. My parents don’t even do that for me! They prepare the dishes themselves, which gives the food a personal touch, and the staff are all thoughtful about guests’ comfort and safety. The grounds are spotless, with carefully kept grass and a peaceful garden. The pool is clean and has a stunning view. The chalets are cozy and private, with an extremely comfortable bed, quality tergal sheets, and towels that are always soft and smell fresh.

Mariana and Adailton, the inn’s new owners, made the stay especially memorable. They’re warm, easy to talk with, and always ready to sort out any problem. A perfect 1,000! I had a very pleasant stay at this beachfront place, with its huge pool. Our bungalow even had a little pool of its own where we could relax.

Those looking for peace and privacy will like the location. The pool and the easy path to a nearly private beach are real perks, and you can book the raft trips right there since they leave from the beach. The natural pools are worth seeing, especially the beach at Barra de Camaragibe. The inn itself is lovely, with spacious, comfortable bungalows and tasteful decor. Mr. Daniel, the owner, is very friendly and helpful, and he's around often, as are the other staff.

My biggest issue was the way I was treated. After I emailed a suggestion, someone named Branca replied in a shockingly rude way and used details from my booking to try to damage my reputation. I intend to sue the inn for defamation and slander. I didn't cancel after that because I'd have lost all the money I'd paid, and I didn't have the displeasure of meeting this person during the stay. The place charges a lot but doesn't offer a bar, so there's nothing to order by the pool. There are no beach chairs, and you're not allowed to take the inn's towels to the beach. That's a real problem in a semi-deserted area with no shops or other options. Breakfast is included but limited in both choice and amount. The lunch menu is short and expensive. We preferred a restaurant/Jardim just outside the entrance, where the service was great and everything was fresh and good quality. In its reply here, the inn used a calm and courteous tone, unlike the emails I have. I was accused of trying to get out of paying after my card was blocked because of cloning, which meant the first reservation didn't go through. But before the inn sent its extremely offensive reply, my boyfriend had already made another booking for the same dates. That's the reservation I said couldn't be cancelled because the cancellation policy offered no refund, another downside compared with many other inns and hotels. Senhora Bianca's conduct is to insult and slander guests, and she shouldn't be working with the public. I'm not lying, and I won't accept an inn defaming and slandering me. I have proof of everything I've said here and more that I haven't mentioned. The service would need to improve a lot before it could stop being terrible.
