Hotel Majestic

It was okay.

The shared guest lounge is really handy, with a microwave, electric kettle, and other things to use. I've stayed at this hotel three times now, and the service and cleanliness have been great on every visit. It feels quiet and family-friendly, and the room is comfortable, with air conditioning, a hair dryer, TV, and minibar.

The location worked very well for me, right in the center and close to where I needed to go. There’s no hotel parking, but a reasonably priced garage is just around the corner on Rua Lobo da Costa, at R$20 per day. The staff were helpful and attentive. I had a basic ground-floor room with a single bed and no private bathroom, though the shared one was nearby. It also had a TV, Wi-Fi, desk, shelf, nightstand with a lit headboard and outlets, fan, and minibar. Upstairs rooms have double beds and private bathrooms, but they were occupied. There’s also a shared kitchen and living room.

The old-looking front had me expecting a musty, run-down place, so the tidy, fresh-smelling corridors were a real surprise. My room was spotless and smelled clean too, the bed was cozy, the bathroom was immaculate, and the staff were so kind. The air conditioning worked great, enough that I ended up pulling on a blanket. Breakfast is the one thing missing, but I was fine grabbing something at a café or bakery. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m in Pelotas.
