I Love Pelotas

The sign outside the motel advertised an overnight stay with breakfast for R$ 169. I only noticed the fine print saying that rate applied Sunday through Thursday when I was right by the sign. I went on Friday, paid R$ 208, and got an overnight stay without breakfast. Very misleading advertising.

I stopped here to get some rest and didn't sleep at all. In the middle of the night a horrible smell of rancid frying grease started, and with no sound insulation, I could hear every conversation from the street and the cars. I was just furious the whole time. Worst hotel in the world!

I spent part of the night in suite number 12. When I turned on the bathroom light, I got a really strong electric shock, so I didn't bother switching it off. I told the person who served me when I left, and they said it must have happened because I wasn't wearing slippers. So there's an electrical problem in the building, and somehow it's my fault for not wearing slippers? That shock could be dangerous even for someone without any special health issues. Imagine what it could do to someone with a pacemaker.

The motel i Love pelotas has really fallen in my estimation. The bed sheet in suite 13 (Vegas), which had a hydro tub, smelled like pee so badly that we couldn't stay in bed. We also found a clump of hair in the tub that wasn't ours. The ceiling light that was supposed to rotate didn't work, but that was the least of our disappointment. The front desk called to say water was leaking from our room into the courtyard and suggested we had left the tub taps running and were wasting water. Actually, it was the hydromassage button that was on, and the bathwater never rose above the set level. When we reported everything, the receptionist only apologized. We paid 160 reais for a service that wasn't worth it, and no discount was offered. We won't return.
