The location in pelotas is a real plus, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable if you mainly need somewhere to sleep. Breakfast was very good, though there wasn’t much choice. It’s a mostly positive stay, even if the hotel feels a little worn now despite having had a much nicer heyday.

A pretty standard Brazilian hotel, with a bar, restaurant, and rooftop pool. Breakfast is included, and it’s pet-friendly. Valet parking is R$25 a day, then you can get around by Uber.

Manta still has a real sense of grandeur, even though it’s clear the hotel has seen better days. It feels like a piece of Pelotas from its golden age, and staying there brings back lasting memories. My first time watching cable TV was at Manta. The breakfast is still among the best I’ve ever had, and I think it’s the best hotel in Pelotas.
