Pousada Espindola

Awesome.

The room had one comfort issue that stayed unresolved throughout our Easter holiday stay at Pousada Espindola Penha in Santa Catarina, where I was with my family. The TV had neither picture nor sound on the first day, then picture but no sound on days two and three. We mentioned it to reception several times, in the morning and at night, but it still wasn't fixed by checkout. It isn't a huge issue, but after busy days out, having a working TV would have been a basic part of relaxing in the room. Apart from that, we had a very positive stay. The place feels welcoming and family friendly, and the whole team, including reception and staff, were consistently polite, helpful, and attentive. Breakfast was also great. Since everything else was up to a high standard, the TV problem stood out. I'm sharing this as constructive feedback because the pousada has the potential to make the stay even more complete. The breakfast was fabulous, and the parking was fine. Our room was just like the photos and very clean. A special mention to the housekeepers, who do an extraordinary job. Senhora Nádia looked after us really well, and the place itself is very pleasant. Buying the tickets there was reliable and made getting in much easier. It worked out better to buy them through her.

We stayed for three nights and would definitely come back. The pousada is close to the park, with great organization and cleanliness, and the welcome was incredibly warm. Breakfast was one of the best I've had, especially the hot pão de queijo and lovely eggs, and the coffee was great too. I highly recommend it.
