Pousada Mares De Penha

We were there in January, me, my two children and my son’s girlfriend. We felt right at home, and are grateful for the warm welcome. D. Sonia and the rest of the staff were so attentive and kind. The place was clean and cozy, with air conditioning and a wonderful breakfast. You can walk to Beto Carrero word, and there’s a very good pizzeria close by. The town and beach are just a short trip away, and there’s also a gas station nearby.

It’s a cozy place with a fair price, and only a seven-minute walk from the park. The service was warm, the room was spotless and smelled fresh, and we got new towels every day. The shower was lovely and hot, and breakfast was excellent.

For anyone visiting Parque Beto Carrero, this inn is only 300 m away, so if you’ve driven, you can save the $50 REAIS park parking fee by leaving your car here. I’ve been to the park ten times and stayed at POUSADA MARES DE PENHA seven times. Dona Sônia, the owner, is a sweetheart, always so thoughtful and helpful, and has become a friend of our family. I’ve sent several friends here, and they liked the hospitality and comfort too. It’s a simple, very organized inn with affordable prices compared with nearby places. I highly recommend it!

We loved our stay. The room was cozy and clean, and it’s very close to Beto carreiro. Dona Sônia welcomed us so warmly and was very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was generous and had that nice homemade feel.
