We had a really lovely stay from December 27 to January 1, during the high season. The location is wonderful, right across from a quiet beach, and although the nightly price was quite high, being there for New Year's made it feel worth it to my husband, my son, and me. Pretus welcomed us warmly when we arrived at 7 pm and showed us around. Our room was clean, and the balcony had a side view of the sea rather than a direct one, but once we saw it, that didn't matter. The view was beautiful, and it felt like the beach was our backyard. It's a cozy place and I'd come back. Breakfast doesn't have much variety, but it's made with care. A big hug to Alessandra, who was always attentive, kind, and, above all, human. We made a great friend. The room cleaners were wonderful too. I have no complaints about cleanliness: no mold, nothing filthy, and the sheets smelled fresh. The blanket had a pattern, so what? The point is to have something to keep you warm. The pool was always clean. I don't understand the comments from people who said they were disgusted. It had so much chlorine I nearly went bald, haha, and the owner cleaned it regularly. We had no water for almost a day, and on a few days the power went out briefly. We understood that lots of tourists at that time could cause problems, though the guesthouse management could have anticipated some of this. We could barely shower for almost a day. We tend to be understanding and empathetic, even when things get difficult. The pest control could be renewed: we were upstairs and had an infestation of red ants, plus a few cockroaches, despite keeping everything clean and tidy. That could be a bit dangerous, but I think it's easily fixed. If you believe in the big house and the slave quarters to this day, and think everything should be strictly separated, with uniformed staff who have no feelings and only say yes, sir and no, sir, this isn't the place for you. The owners use the pool and drink coconut water from the lovely coconut trees, and offer it to us too. That's part of being human. The cleaners hug us, smile and joke with us, and so do the managers. I liked that. If you want to be treated as if you were at home, where unexpected things happen and people laugh and cry, are imperfect, and still do their best, I'd recommend coming here. The trips around Peruibe are lovely too. We were very happy over New Year's, and I'm grateful to Pousada. Happy 2026!

I love Peruibe and have stayed at plenty of guesthouses there. This weekend the places I know were full, so I tried this one, and it was a bad experience. We didn't get a welcoming reception at all. We arrived two minutes before breakfast and were told it wasn't available yet. I understand the rule and didn't have any breakfast on the days I was there, because it's included in the price, not a favor. From Thursday through Sunday there was no room cleaning or towel change. The shower was bad, the doors were noisy, and pigeons were on the balcony the whole time. I work with the public and treat my customers with a lot of respect. I have friends who own kiosks in town, and I shared my experience with them and won't recommend this place. I hope the owners rethink focusing on making money for one season instead of building a relationship with guests who might return and recommend it. Good luck to them.

Our stay at the Pousada in Peruibe was delightful, a perfect spot to relax and get away from everyday life. We were welcomed by the owner, Mel, who was so attentive and warm, and that made a real difference. The room was comfortable and tidy, with a lovely private hot tub. It was spotless, and the towels and sheets were changed on schedule. The pool worked perfectly and everything was well cared for. Special mention to the attendants for the delicious coffee they made. We'll definitely be back and recommend it wholeheartedly! 💚 Carina and Gustavo

Pousada Mar Egeu is simple but really cozy, and you can tell everything is done with care. Breakfast was especially good, fresh and tasty, with an unforgettable corn cake. A special thanks to Alê for welcoming us so warmly and looking after us. We had an amazing stay and will definitely return! 🌊✨💙

This was my second time at the guesthouse, and I loved the place all over again. I want to give a special mention to Alessandra, who was cordial and kind throughout the stay. The owner, Mellissa, also stood out: she's polite, friendly, and has wonderful energy that made our days even more special. I'm heading back to São Paulo feeling recharged and peaceful, the way only this paradise makes me feel. Congratulations to the owners on their great work. We'll be back soon!
