The breakfast and location were okay during my stay at the guesthouse a little over a month ago. The problem came after I left a shoe there and needed it back. I contacted the person in charge and asked them to mail it, making clear I would pay the postage. Since then, I’ve reached out many times. Sometimes he says he’ll send it the following week, then doesn’t; other times he doesn’t even reply. It’s complete disregard and disrespect.

Dona Cida welcomed us with so much warmth, care, and helpfulness, which made this simple, cozy place feel even nicer. FogguestHouse is in a good area, close to Rua Teresa, so we could walk around and enjoy the neighborhood. Everything was well cared for and clean, and the sheets smelled lovely. Congratulations to the people who look after the place.

The couple running the place were warm and welcoming, the rooms were above average, and breakfast was standard. The location is excellent, so it’s well worth staying here. The main drawback is the lack of parking, and the street gets so busy that leaving a car there feels risky. I dealt with that by parking on a side street.

I liked the place and would come back. The owner was helpful, handed me the key, and then let me make myself at home. There’s a large, equipped kitchen and two shared bathrooms for three double rooms.
