Hotel Petropolis Inn

The hotel’s standard and cleanliness were unacceptable when my colleague and I arrived for a two-week business trip. It looked nothing like the website photos, so we raised our concerns with the manager and said we’d move elsewhere. She accepted the complaint and agreed to refund the unused nights. We stayed three nights, from 27.07 to 30.07, then moved to another hotel from 30.07 to 09.08. We still haven’t received a credit note or invoice for our stay. We left our business email addresses at reception, where they promised to send the documents, and we’ve emailed several times and called the numbers on the official websites without getting anywhere. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Worst experience of my life.

The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious, and the rooftop views over the area were amazing. The hotel is new and modern, very clean, and has professional staff. We’ve just returned from a spectacular trip to Petropolis, and staying here was a special experience. I can’t wait to come back.

The city view is beautiful, the employees are competent, and the coffee break is very good. The building and rooms are new, though the garage is tight and the thin walls make it noisy. I also had a WiFi password problem that nobody resolved. For the price, I’d stay here again.

Getting to the hotel can be difficult, especially in the rain, because of the hills and slippery streets. The shower water pressure could be better. Still, it’s good value, very clean, and the front desk is good.
