We were two people traveling with our big dog, and the price was reasonable if you’re trying not to spend much. The buffet had plenty of choices and was pretty good, but the juice tasted like it was about 90% water. Breakfast runs until 10 on weekdays and 10:30 on weekends. The room was mostly fine, with an up-to-date AC unit, a ceiling fan, and a nice shower with on-demand hot water rather than an electric shower. Everything in the room was clean, with no bugs or grime, though some walls were peeling and the bathroom sometimes smelled like sewer water coming up through the drain. The bed and pillows were average at best, maybe a little below average. A dog in the next room barked for nearly two hours in the middle of the night, then did the same thing midday. In a small hotel it was obvious, but staff didn’t do anything about it. You can buy drinks and beer at the front of the hotel any time, and there were snacks and items in the room fridge for an extra charge. If you bring a dog, there’s an additional $50 BRL fee that isn’t disclosed when you book online.

We came from Canada this past week, and my husband and I had a wonderful stay. Fernando was so kind, found us a room, and made us feel blessed and very well treated. The breakfast was amazing, and I can’t forget the sweet birds here. It’s a beautiful place, and we’d recommend staying here to anyone. Thanks again for such a lovely experience ❤️

This was our second stay, and things went just as smoothly as they did the first time. It’s a simple, pleasant place, and the location is perfect for walking to Petrópolis sights. Crystal Palace is less than a minute away on foot, and the Imperial Museum is about a seven-minute walk. The continental breakfast is basic but has what you need before a morning out walking. Rooms are simple and cozy, with a nice strong shower. If you’re visiting in summer, I’d suggest getting a room with AC. Good for relaxing.
