Hotel Solar do Império

The hotel is peaceful and close to the main sights, with lovely rooms and beds. Its style is simple but elegant, and the gardens and fountains are a real pleasure. Breakfast was spectacular, served in a beautiful dining room or wherever you prefer around the hotel. The restaurant is open all day, and the staff are courteous and helpful. I'd happily visit more than once.

A pleasant, easygoing place to stay. The old building houses a simple hotel with good service, nice grounds, a good room, and excellent showers. The coffee is great and the food is reasonably priced. I especially liked sitting outside in the covered area. Clean and relaxing, and I expect to stay here again. 👍👍

Everyone was polite and helpful, and the service was excellent. The indoor heated pool was clean and warm, and breakfast had plenty of options. It's also a great location, within walking distance of the main sights. Definitely a great place to visit.

The hotel sits right in the historic center, just minutes from parks and churches. Between the indoor and outdoor pools, the sauna, the gardens, and walks into town, there's plenty to enjoy and remember. It's an old world kind of place in the mountains of Petropolis, with spacious, elegant rooms and all the amenities. The grounds are beautifully kept, and every staff member, from reception to the kitchen and housekeeping, seemed attentive to guests all day. The food includes local specialties and was well prepared. My simple breakfast was ham, egg and cheese toast, fresh local papaya, rolls with fresh butter and orange zest marmalade, and a cup of freshly brewed Twinings Breakfast tea. I'd definitely put this destination on your getaway list.
