The setting is charming and cozy, with a lovely country feel and the Atlantic Forest all around. Tatiana, the owner, and her daughters are incredibly kind and attentive. Breakfast is abundant, and meals are prepared according to guests’ preferences. I can’t imagine a better place or nicer people to spend time with. Five stars hardly feel like enough. I’ll be back soon!

The hospitality from the owner and her family was wonderful, and the decor has a sustainable feel rather than following the latest fashion. This is a simple inn in a fantastic natural setting, high in the mountains in the Parque São Vicente area of Petrópolis/RJ, over 1,000 meters up and surrounded by nature. The idea is to get close to nature and unplug from modern life, and it delivers on that. It gets genuinely cold in early June and the rooms have no heating, so bring warm clothes.

The view across the whole place is stunning, with an outdoor area in the original Atlantic Forest, within an A.P.A. Área de Proteção Ambiental, and a fire pit with outdoor benches. Inside, the suites are lovely, cozy, and spotless, with a country-style decor. We were greeted warmly and given welcome treats. Breakfast was plentiful and healthy, with organic and unusual products. A truly magical place.

Set within the Atlantic Forest, this place has a wonderful view and a calm, pleasant atmosphere. It’s great for relaxing and seeking physical and mental balance. The service deserves top marks, breakfast was delicious, and Petrópolis’ historic center is about 15 minutes away.
