It has old world charm, and the breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. The pool is small and there are two hot tubs, though during our stay they felt more warm than hot. It’s right beside the bus depot, but the noise wasn’t too bad, and the main attractions are an easy walk away. Check-in was difficult because they required photo ID for every guest, including the children, and our reservation was nearly cancelled. I haven’t run into that anywhere else. Very rigid.

The staff were lovely, and the hotel is nice and well located. I liked the spa, and breakfast was very good.

The breakfast buffet needs work. There were no tables available, dishes were piling up, and nearly all the food was gone an hour before breakfast was due to end. The basic amenities are there, but sound insulation is very poor.

Rooms are basic but spacious and clean, and the service was friendly and helpful. The location is noisy, though useful. Good value for money.

It’s much better value midweek than the ugly hostels, which are less than 40% cheaper. My room faced the back, so it was quiet, and the bed was good. Great hot shower and a good breakfast with eggs, muesli, juices, fruit, cake, and more.
