The setting really is something special, with striking architecture, lovely suites, and staff who are warm and attentive. Suite 7 was gorgeous, and the other suites looked great too. Breakfast stood out: everything was fresh, and the tasty options for people who are lactose intolerant were a real plus. The drinks were great as well, though dinner didn’t live up to the rest of the food. Picadinho was the only dish I really enjoyed. There isn’t a huge amount to do once you’ve finished the two trails. They’re beautiful and very well cared for, and the pool looks gorgeous, but it felt quite cold even on hot days. Getting there is a bit difficult, especially with the roadworks on Bunjiro Nakao road. The staff are good at looking after guests, though at times they seemed short-handed and overwhelmed. It’s a very nice place, and the nature is magnificent. Still, I can’t give it 4.5 stars. Given what we paid, I’d have expected better food at dinner, or full board, along with more leisure options. That’s especially true since we went in the first few days after the COVID-19 pandemic opening. There are other places I’d like to try before deciding to come back. And it’s a great place for pets!
