Pousada Asa Branca

The place is very expensive for what it offers, and I regret booking without checking the reviews first. I wouldn't return or recommend it. The view is lovely and the location is good, but that's where the positives end. The staff were poor and lacking warmth, especially the woman. The bathroom was so tiny that using the toilet put my face right by the sink, and I had to step over the toilet to get into the shower. Breakfast was a huge letdown, with hardly any options. There was no cake, juice, bread, yogurt, or even water, and the dishes and cutlery were dirty. The room and sheets were dusty, the bathroom door wouldn't close, and there were so many mosquitoes. There's no parking either.

The balcony view is magnificent, and the woman who welcomed me made a sensational breakfast. But the room is full of hassles, especially for R$290 a night for two people. I feel like crying over the regret. At R$300 a day, they could have made these problems less rough. I'm staying here now and leave early tomorrow. The rooms are tiny, and the bathroom is about 1 x 1, so there's no room to move. The shower has barely any water and its three settings are cold, boiling, and scalding. Wi-Fi barely works and keeps dropping when it does. The TV runs on Wi-Fi, so it's frozen 99% of the time. After enjoying the view, you have to fumigate the room because of the mosquitoes.

The room has air conditioning and a TV, and the view from it is wonderful. Breakfast was very good and the service was good too. Getting to the inn means climbing quite a few steps, which could be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The bathroom is tiny, and unfortunately the Wi-Fi never worked.

The staff are very kind, and the room and shower were good. I would have been happier with more breakfast choices. The view is incredible, but you have to climb a good number of stairs to get it, so access is difficult. There's no parking, though the inn is right by the town center.
