Pousada Trilha do Velho Chico

The family who runs this inn are lovely and easy to talk to. It’s a peaceful spot by the river, and the nights are quiet. If you’re after some calm and quiet, this place fits.

Breakfast had everything we needed, and the staff were really attentive. They also arrange tours at good prices. The location is good too, and the service was excellent.

We had a great breakfast outdoors with a perfect view. The inn is right by the river, and although the bars in the historic center are a little farther away, it’s an easy, safe walk. Our room was spacious, clean, and well cared for, with a wardrobe, air conditioning, and a wonderful shower. Everything felt new. They provided all the basics, including paper, towels, fresh-smelling soap, and clean bed linens. The service was so attentive, and I loved our stay!

I spent three wonderful days here, and the whole team made us feel welcome. Everyone works as a family, from reception to the cook, and they were all lovely. The owner is a woman with a huge heart, and the staff member serving breakfast shared lots of helpful information about the city. The regional breakfast was delicious, served in a cozy covered area by the river among flowers and plants. The view of the river is incredible, and the inn is very close to the center. Our room was tidy and had a TV, a nice hot electric shower, powerful air conditioning, and good WiFi. They can arrange private boat tours at the inn. The owner’s son, the boatman FABINHO, gave excellent service. There’s even a very sweet gray cat hanging around the entrance. I recommend this cozy place for a comfortable stay, and I’m grateful to the whole team.
