Refúgio da Serra

I stayed here alone while walking the Caminho de Cora Coralina. It’s a peaceful choice surrounded by wonderful nature, right beside the Pireneus state park. Kalinca, the manager, deserves a special mention for being so attentive. Breakfast is an extra and is served only to pilgrims, but it was a real treat.

A peaceful retreat in the beautiful cerrado, with its own little garden of native cerrado plants and trees. Kalinca and Marcos are wonderful hosts who care for every detail of the inn with real affection. They were attentive and shared lots of tips for outings in the area. The chalet was very clean and smelled lovely, and the towels and bed linen were fresh too. It had the kitchen utensils we needed, all working properly. We felt at home, and once you get here, you don’t want to leave!

There’s a lovely sense of calm here. The inn is beautiful, well cared for, and makes you want to pause and connect with nature.

We stayed in chalet 12 as a family, and it was comfortable with the kitchen utensils we needed for the weekend. The kids loved having space to roam, especially the sand court and pool. We also took a short walk to the chapel, then enjoyed the sunset and the beautiful Cerrado view.
