Hotel Petaluma Piumhi

The shower was my main gripe: the water flow was weak and it took a while to warm up. It had one of those detachable heads, so you could take it down without getting soaked. The blankets smelled off, though I didn't need them since it was summer. Otherwise, the room was spacious, with a good bed and clean, fresh-smelling sheets. The receptionists were very polite and attentive, and breakfast was tasty with the basics covered. Great value for the money.

The hotel looks nice, but the water was extremely cold. Calling reception didn't help, and when we complained that the air conditioner wasn't working, they didn't seem to care. The toilet had residue and used toilet paper in it when I arrived. Breakfast wasn't anything special either, and a lot was lacking in quality.

Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety, and the hotel itself was clean, small, and cozy, in a great location. We were there on a busy day when no other rooms were available, so they offered us the presidential suite for 270 instead of 360 if we didn't use the tub. That struck me as odd since Booking listed the total as 296, but it was fine. The room was spacious, though the bed felt small for a suite. The towels and bath items could have been better, and I missed having a face towel. They only left one bar of soap and one shampoo. The bathroom was large, but the shower needed repairs. To me, it was just a larger double room. Overall, I was satisfied.

The staff were very courteous, and the rooms were clean, airy, and quiet. Breakfast had a good range of choices, including scrambled eggs cooked to order.
