Hotel Lieto

The nightly rate is a little higher than at some other hotels in Poços de Caldas, but I think the comfort and cleanliness make it worthwhile. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the reception service was excellent. Breakfast tasted very good too.

The hotel is very clean, and the staff are attentive. Breakfast was very good too. There’s covered parking for an extra fee. It’s also in a great spot, close to everything, so you can head out and see plenty on foot.

The staff at Hotel Lieto were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect, close to everything. We were there for New Year’s Eve and didn’t need to take the car out of the garage. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of tasty food. Our room wasn’t large, but it was enough since we only used it to sleep and shower. The bath and face towels were rough and disappointing. Room service was available, and the cleaning and towel changes were great. I recommend it.

We decided to have dinner at Hotel Lieto. The reception told us the dishes were prepared at Hotel Minas Gerais, but we ordered anyway. After waiting an hour, the meals arrived wrong. The fries were burnt and soaked in oil, everything was mixed together on a styrofoam tray like a packed lunch, and the Filé was ridiculously small. It was absurd and disrespectful. The hotel attendants were SUPER POLITE and clearly embarrassed, apologizing over and over, though none of it was their fault. They took photos and sent them to the restaurant and management. At least the hotel manager said we wouldn’t be charged, which was the least they could do since we hadn’t eaten it. Too bad there’s no way to attach a photo of that packed lunch tray.
