Hostel & Suítes Stettin

I stayed in the huge six-person dorm, which had air conditioning, and the toilets were clean. The Wi-Fi was very fast too. The Hostel Stettin in Pomerode is newly built, comfortable, and well located, close to a supermarket, the Schornstein Brewery, the pomaranian Museum, and the city center. It’s also easy to reach from the central bus station. The two people running the hostel were kind and helpful. They gave me tips about the city, helped me with a few specific things, and told me the amazing story of the city and the immigrants who live there. I’d recommend staying here.

It was okay.

We felt completely abandoned in what was supposed to be a hotel. Nobody was there, and no one had told us the entrance was through the side gate. At 22:23, we spent half an hour trying the door, knocking on the gate, and ringing the intercom before checking the side and finding a gate that opened. The room itself was good, but for the price it should have been much better. We paid 460,00 for two adults and two children, so at least breakfast would have been reasonable to expect. I chose this place because I believe the hotels and inns around here all raise their prices during the festival dates, and that should be inspected too. The booking required 70% upfront. When we arrived, the service felt like the guy was asleep, and even working out the remaining amount was a mess. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The shared space was a nice place to relax or chat with other travelers, and the staff were warm, attentive, and ready with local tips. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, whether you choose a private suite or the hostel setup. What really stood out was the charm of the place. Its architecture blends German coziness with a modern feel, and the whole space feels peaceful and well kept. The location is also handy for the main attractions in town. If you’re looking for good value, hospitality, and a bit of cultural experience, it all comes together here. I’d happily return.
