The breakfast is really good, and the location makes it easy to walk across the border to shop on the Paraguayan side. The rooms are basic and not especially well maintained. On a hot summer night, the air conditioning may not be enough to cool the room.

The staff were polite and very caring, which I appreciated. Still, the A/C was out on the first night, the shower box leaked across the bathroom floor, and the room smelled of mold.

For around US$60.00, this could suit someone looking for a hotel near the border. There are local TV channels, very hot water, nice elevators, and a fridge in the room. I didn’t try the hotel restaurant. Instead, I had lunch at the excellent Frutal Churrascaria, two blocks away on the same road. I’d avoid the local junk food sandwiches on Avenida Brazil.
