Hotel Passarela

Nice.

The receptionist was very friendly and the service was incredible, but the hotel was a letdown. The rooms are tiny and weren't cleaned properly. I looked under the bed and found lots of dust and snacks left by the previous guest. The sheets and pillowcases were stained, the blankets in the closet had tears, the shower wires were exposed, and the toilet lid was dirty. The parking area is extremely small too. I regret every cent I spent here. There were much cheaper places with a more suitable stay, but sadly I only saw them after I'd already booked.

We really liked room 204 on the second floor. The double bed and the two single mattresses were good, and there was a nightstand, TV with remote, a two-door wardrobe with two drawers, and a split air conditioner with remote in great shape. The bathroom was bright and had a hot shower. The kitchenette had a good fridge, microwave, sink and cupboard, two-burner desktop stove, a few utensils, two plates, some glasses, and a gas cylinder. Clean pillows, bedspreads, blankets, sheets, bath towels, and floor were provided. The place is downtown, so I walked to do some shopping. There's a taxi stand nearby, and the bus station is close, with plenty of accessible places to grab a snack. The attentive receptionist explained the quiet rules, electronic gate, paid espresso machine, and wifi password. Garage parking costs 20.00 extra and is rotating. The stairs were clean and in good condition. Even with lots of cars, buses, and trucks on the avenue, I slept really well. I noticed two washing machines near the parking area, but didn't use them and don't know whether guests can. There was also parking.

The flat itself is a great space, but the service was some of the worst I've seen. I booked because the location and price seemed promising. That night I found there was no blanket in my room, which is a real problem in the south, and it took ages to get one after I asked. The attendant was in a bad mood. When my snack arrived, she nearly knocked my door down, then slammed her own door in my face to show how annoyed she was about having to tell me it had arrived.
