Hotel Wamosy

A terrible stay. There was no minibar, the bathroom was tiny and very old, and there was no shower screen separating the toilet from the shower. I had a real struggle getting the hotel room door open. Then I woke up today to find there was no water at the hotel, so I left without brushing my teeth. I don't recommend it.

The room was simple, just as advertised, and the place was quiet and nicely arranged. The staff were cordial, and the facilities were good. My room had air conditioning, which I liked, and downstairs there's a lounge where you can get together to watch games and other things. There's also a computer to use. I had a great experience and recommend it if you're spending a few days here in Porto. The price seems accessible, but I can't say for sure since my company arranged my stay.

The hotel is old, but that's not even the main problem. The service is awful, and if you complain about things like internet that doesn't work, noise from other guests, or outlets that aren't working, the staff member makes things worse by treating you even more poorly and brushing you off. Don't count on promises that the internet will start working either, it simply doesn't work in many rooms. If you're thinking of booking here, give yourself time to choose another hotel.

For a stopover in Porto Alegre, the price is inviting and the place is fine for spending the night. When I was there, the breakfast and room service were both so-so, and rooms on the second floor had leaks.
