We stayed at Novo Hotel Maracaípe between the 8th and 9th. The owner is friendly, but the hotel falls short in several ways. It's a simple place, which wouldn't be a problem if it were properly cleaned. The rooms didn't smell clean and seemed not to have been sanitized well, and the bathroom was the same. Breakfast was disappointing too. Someone in our group even found a dog hair in the couscous, which was outrageous. They wouldn't let my pet into the breakfast area, yet the owner's pet wandered freely through the kitchen. The stay was poor, mainly because of the lack of hygiene.

The hotel has changed owners and is much better now. It's simple and cozy, with a delicious breakfast. I recommend it.

I left disappointed and couldn't stay another day. The air conditioning in the rooms seemed not to have been maintained for a while, and both the shower and minibar gave electric shocks. The towels smelled dusty, and we had a period without water. There was no food available to buy at the property, and places selling food were a bit far away. The place also seemed to need more organization and cleaning to properly welcome guests.

After a 5-hour drive, I got there to find the room hadn't been cleaned. I waited over an hour at reception for the cleaner to arrive and then clean it. The hotel facilities are very old and poorly organized, so the trip started stressful and became much more tiring than it should have been. It's not worth even half the price they charge.

We had a great stay at Novo Hotel for 1 month. The room had everything we needed, and the owner Socorro was always willing to help. The hotel is just 50 meters from the beach.
