Warning, health hazard! I usually take bad reviews with a pinch of salt, and I regret not listening before booking. For what we got, it was pretty expensive: over R$1000 for three midweek nights, Wednesday-Friday. From outside it looked okay, and the location is very good, about 2 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes from the town centre. The rooms were in really bad shape. My first one was outside the breakfast area, so it got noisy early. It was dark all the time, with a tiny window onto the corridor, and covered in black mold. There weren't many sockets to charge devices, and the bathroom had a horrible chemical smell, like portable toilets. After one night we asked to move. The new room didn't smell, but there was mold everywhere. It had the same lack of sockets and an old, noisy fridge. In both rooms, the mattresses were old and dirty, the pillows smelled, and the bed linen wasn't exactly clean. This must be really bad for anyone with allergies or asthma. Breakfast was okay but nothing special, a buffet with tapioca or omelette made to order. The hours were very strict, starting AFTER 7:30 and ending at 10am. They wouldn't give us anything even a minute before 7:30, despite having an excursion pickup. The pool area was nice and relaxed. A hidden door leads to the beach, with a shower beside it to rinse off before going back to the room. The reception has alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks for sale in a fridge. I don't know how Velosmar gets good reviews. I think they may be paid for.

Worst of the worst! The breakfast food was cheap quality. The room was poor and didn't match the picture on the website. The room really was bad, nothing like the inn's ad.

Pousada Velaosmar is a good fit if, like me, you're going to Porto de Galinhas for the beaches, outings, and the place itself, rather than spending the whole day inside your inn. It's simple, not huge or luxurious, but well organized, clean, and quiet. The rooms were airy, comfortable, and clean, and the staff were polite and attentive, doing their best to look after guests. The price is accessible, especially for such a convenient spot. It's less than a five-minute walk from the beach and also close to the center of Porto de Galinhas. For a simple, comfortable, peaceful place with good value, it was well worth it. I had a very positive stay.

The only plus was being close to the beach and town centre. There was no light switch by the bed, the bathroom door clicked when it shut, the Wi-Fi was really bad, and breakfast was poor.

It's easy to walk from the inn to the town centre, and the beach is only a few metres away, where you can take a raft tour. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were helpful, polite, and ready for all kinds of situations. The place is ideal for families with children. A wheelchair user or someone with mobility problems can stay without difficulty because it has accessibility.
