For what it costs, this is a decent bed and breakfast. Luiza welcomed me warmly and quickly shared contacts for water activities when I asked. The location is handy, on the street and right by the beach, a short walk from the entrance to Porto de Galinhas. It's directly above the restaurant of the same name, where guests get 10% off and the food is good. My room was clean, bright, and fresh looking, with a clean, reasonably modern bathroom. It had a comfortable, homey feel. There isn't a shared private area apart from the breakfast space, but with the beach just a couple of minutes away, I didn't need one. I barely noticed the restaurant noise downstairs, along with the very soft jazz, despite what some comments say. The Wi-Fi was slow, and I booked the cheaper room, which has no view. Sometimes there was a faint damp smell because I couldn't open the window to air the room out. Running the air conditioner cleared it up. Those things were minor for me.

I chose well: the location was great, and the staff were attentive and polite. My room had a lovely sea view. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, and the bed linens were immaculate.

The reception staff were excellent, and our stay itself was good. But I wouldn't return or recommend the place because of the restaurant service. The restaurant has tables on the beach, and after we spent a lot at our table throughout the day, we asked to move down to the chairs on the sand. They demanded another 200 reais minimum spend. It felt like they were taking us for fools. The waiter there was extremely rude, glaring at us and seeming ready to pick a fight with customers. Even my usually calm husband lost his temper. There are much better places with good service.

The breakfast room couldn't seat everyone. The pousada must have about eight rooms, but there seemed to be only five tables, so we had to wait for other guests to finish before we could eat. I've never had to miss breakfast like that before. We usually pay more to book a place that includes it, so this felt absurd. The place was expensive, and the whole thing stressed me, my wife, and my son out. I wouldn't come back.

The restaurant service is top quality, and the food is great. I recommend it to anyone visiting Porto de Galinhas. The location is excellent, too.
