The breakfast was unforgettable, and the whole inn felt like a comfortable, inviting home. Irene even made us two delicious banana cakes as a personal farewell. Incredible! Irene and Tasso are natural hosts who genuinely care about giving their guests a great stay. They welcomed us hours after check-in, and when they saw how tired we were from the trip, Irene suggested we could fill in the paperwork later. Such a sweetheart. Our room was perfectly arranged, clean, wonderfully fragrant, and so comfortable that I felt at home. Thank you both. I highly recommend this place to future guests.

Walking to the beach meant crossing a coconut plantation with a beautiful view, and the breakfast always featured the fruit of the day. Even the pineapple tasted sweeter there. Irene made breakfast right in front of us while Tasso was always busy doing something around the inn. Watching them brought me back to childhood, when my grandparents were alive and spent the day making good things and puttering about. The place was so airy and comfortable, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The fresh-smelling linens and every little detail felt as if they belonged exactly where they were. It didn’t feel like an inn so much as being at home. It was a lovely stay.

The breakfast is simple, but Irene prepares it with real care and everything is excellent: couscous, tapioca, potatoes, cassava, bread, cold cuts, fruit, and more. The rooms are new, with new split air conditioning and a new minibar, so bring your own snacks and drinks to stock it. Marezal is a compact, recently opened inn with great value for the area, and its owners, Tasso/Irene, are very friendly. There’s a space out front for parking. There’s no pool, which didn’t bother me since I came for the beach. There’s no reception desk either, but guests keep the keys to their room and the inn entrance, so you can come back at any hour. If you’re looking for good value, Marezal is a solid choice. Warm regards to Tasso and Irene. May God always bless you.

We loved our seven days at Marezal Suítes and will be back soon! It’s a new, cozy place in a great location, close to the main and most beautiful beaches along the northern Alagoas coast. The breakfast was wonderful, all fresh and made with care, including couscous and tapioca prepared to order, plus cakes and lots of other treats.
