The apartment is spacious and comfortable, in a good location, with roomy bedrooms and a large bathroom. The owner was helpful and attentive, a genuinely nice person. There’s no parking at the condominium, though, and the listing says pets aren’t allowed, but there were dogs and cats when I arrived. That could be a problem for anyone with allergies. The kitchen is very basic. There’s no microwave or sandwich maker, which would be handy for quick meals, and there’s an oven but no baking tray. There are also very few utensils and dishes for an apartment meant for five people. The kitchen is really the main thing that needs improvement.

The location worked really well, especially without a car. The historic center, shopping mall, Passarela do Álcool, market, and pharmacy were all nearby, so we could walk everywhere. I stayed five nights with friends in an apartment with two bedrooms, a small living room and kitchen, a shared bathroom, and a little laundry area. It was clean, and having two keys was handy since we could go out separately. The owner was very helpful. He was only there in the mornings and lived nearby, but we could message him if we needed anything. A few things were missing: there was no sandwich maker or coffee pot, and we had to buy a floor cloth. The shower was good, but a bit temperamental, and we couldn't get it to run cold. One other note, the couple staying before us moved to the apartment downstairs and took a few things from ours.

Great location, and the service there was just right for a family.
