Hotel Terra Mater

The breakfast was very good, and the women serving it were especially kind and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located in Porto Seguro, so getting to the evening market at Passarela da Cultura is easy. But there’s no hotel parking, and the surrounding streets are all paid parking zones. My car got a parking violation notice every day I left it on the street in front, with lots of traffic officers working downtown. The room smelled moldy, including the air conditioner when it was on. I had to ask for a different pillow because the one there smelled strongly of mold. The bedding gave me the impression it hadn’t been changed. Towels aren’t replaced every day under the hotel’s rules, only every other day, and there’s no balcony drying rack, so you have to use a wet towel. That says plenty about their attention to cleaning. The shower and Wi-Fi were terrible. I wouldn’t stay here again, even for free.

We could walk to everything, beaches included, thanks to the location. The staff were really friendly, and the service and comfort were great. Breakfasts were delicious too. If we come back to Porto Seguro, we’d happily stay at this lovely hotel again. I definitely recommend it.

Rita from the kitchen is such a lovely person, and Roni at reception was attentive and very helpful. The location is great, near the ferry and Passarela do álcool. Our room was cleaned daily, and the towels and bedding were changed on schedule. Breakfast has something for everyone, though I did miss couscous and tapioca. I recommend the place without hesitation and would definitely come back.

I spent a week at Terra Mater and have nothing but good things to say. The room was simple but really clean, and the air conditioner was new and worked perfectly. They cleaned the room and bathroom and changed the towels at the right times. It’s in the center, close to the ferry and Passarela do álcool. Roni at reception was a sweetheart, so kind. I’d stay here again and recommend it too!
