Great!

We stayed there on 11/07 and again on 19/07, me, my daughter, and my husband. Rose and her husband are kind, welcoming people, and the whole pousada has a lovely feel. We were treated really well from the start to the end of our stay. The location is excellent, very close to the center, so you can get around on foot. Our rooms were cozy, clean, and organized, with cable TV, Wi-Fi, and Netflix. Breakfast was tasty, and the little eggs they make there are heavenly. We highly recommend it!

Rose, the owner who runs the pousada, was the highlight. She’s so friendly, welcoming, and receptive, and made us feel at ease. She makes the famous fried eggs or an omelet just for you at breakfast, her own special recipe. The breakfast is delicious. Lago de Garda is a lovely pousada, clean, comfortable, and peaceful. We could walk almost everywhere, with the center, waterfront, beach, Passarela do Álcool, and lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. I’d absolutely recommend it and will come back.

I live in Porto and know that tap and shower water here can be a gamble. Some places use wells, and some water is brackish, literally salty. At Lago de Guarda, it comes from embasa, with no smell or taste. The inn is small and cozy, in a central spot that works well for getting to the city’s different areas, the waterfront and its lovely beaches as well as the center and local shops. With its country inn feel, I was surprised that the bed, air conditioning, TV, and internet were all in working order. Everything was very clean, renovated, and smelled fresh. Breakfast was really tasty, and the eggs she makes to order, individually and seasoned, leave a mark on the experience. Maybe the Minas Gerais and Italian influence has something to do with how good it is. From what I know of the area, they deserve lots of credit!

The breakfast was very good, and those eggs mentioned in other reviews really are delicious. The owners, Rosi and her husband, are lovely and welcoming. It’s a comfortable, clean pousada with everything needed for a good stay, and it’s well located. I recommend it, and we’ll be back.
