The owner put the Philadelphia Eagles vs New York Giants NFL playoff game on the big screen, which was a great chance to watch some American football in Bahia. For the main dish, I recommend the Panelinha com Frutos do Mar. It was delicious and such a generous serving, with rice, calamari, shrimp, octopus, and crab. Kind of a risotto or stew, and really good. It’s a welcoming restaurant with a few different spaces: a restaurant with live music, with the music charge added to the final bill, an ice cream shop, and a mini market. The waiter and waitress were super friendly, and food and drink prices were about the same as other restaurants in town.

The salad and vegetable selection at the buffet is really good, a nice way to eat well and lightly while away from home. It’s a pleasant spot for a relaxed meal by the sea. The restaurant at pousada Recanto do Porto is in a privileged location right on Praia do Mundai, surely one of Porto Seguro’s best urban beaches.

The setting is pleasant and quiet, a good place to bring the family. Prices aren’t much higher than elsewhere in Porto Seguro, though they are high: the commercial steak with onions cost R$ 55,00, plus R$ 13,00 for a pulp juice. The rice was good, but the steak was tough as shoe leather, the beans seemed overcooked, and the juice tasted like medicine. For such a simple dish at that price, it was disappointing.
