Rede Andrade Estrela Dalva Praia

I stayed at Rede Andrade Estrela Dalva Praia from September 10 to 15 and was very pleased. The breakfast had plenty of variety and was good quality, and the whole stay felt more pleasant because of the attentive team. Service was excellent and everything was well organized. Congratulations to the staff on their great work!

The location is the one good thing here. I arranged a late check-in, but on the day itself they were overbooked and sent me to another hotel in the chain in downtown Porto Seguro, which was even lower quality. Getting back to Estrela da Praia the next day was a struggle, and I had to pay for my Uber back. My room was moldy, the air conditioner’s vent was broken, and the bedding was stained and dingy. They didn’t change the towels or sheets. The bed was fairly comfortable, but the pillows were tall and hard, which some people may not like. The sink was clogged, the toilet was a bit loose, the toilet paper was awful, and the trash bin had no lid. Cleaning was half-hearted. They seemed to sweep up some of the beach sand, but didn’t clean the toilet or shower with disinfectant, and the sink stayed dirty all week. Mostly they just made the bed and took out the trash. One day I left the tag out asking for cleaning while I went on a trip. They turned it over as if I hadn’t asked, so I came back to a sandy room and bathroom trash still there. Don’t expect much from breakfast. Everyone dips into the communal sugar and spread, which wasn’t even butter, just some rancid stuff. The food had no flavor or seasoning, including the couscous, eggs, and cassava. Items were missing and took a long time to replenish, and it was obvious the ingredients weren’t good quality. The kitchen was a real mess.

Terrible! I recommend staying away. The room I booked was in awful shape: the door wouldn’t latch, one shower enclosure door was missing, the shower gave electric shocks, the handle was held together with electrical tape, and the bed was bad. The receptionist was rude.

The room had a leak, and the water heater machine made a lot of noise. The reception staff were very friendly, kind, and helpful. Breakfast was okay and had plenty of options.
