The staff were polite and helpful, which was the one good part. The hotel seems to have seen better days. It now feels neglected, very dirty and grimy, with lots of broken or poorly maintained things. The path to the beach is dangerous and should be closed off. The restaurant had none of what we asked for. No gin, no passion fruit for a caipirinha, no strawberries instead, and no Coke Zero either. It got almost comical. I ended up ordering fries and water. Since the hotel is a fair distance from Prado village, it should at least keep decent food options available for guests. Breakfast was poor, with lots of industrial food that was badly presented. It could use more care. Flies were landing on the food, and there was nothing to cover it. The bedding was old and worn. There was just one flat sheet on the bed, so it moved along with you when you turned over. The blankets smelled bad and looked mismatched and decades old. They later brought me a comforter, and when I opened it there was a clump of black hair inside. It seemed like the bedding wasn't being washed between stays. The hotel needs investment and better quality control. I don't plan to return.
