It costs a bit, but I think it’s worth it. The staff were very nice and helpful, and breakfast was tasty with a good range of choices. The place is spotless and comfortable. The mattress is good, the room and bathroom were clean, and the shower has great water pressure. The bedrooms have new, quiet air conditioning and fridges. The property is really nice, with a clean pool and a bar that offers food and drinks with beach service. The beach is right in their yard. They seem almost obsessive about cleaning, which is a very good thing for a hotel. A very nice lodging option in Cumuruxatiba.

The warm, swimmable sea was right there, and with the full moon out, sitting in the hammock and looking at it was such a lovely way to spend the evening. This was one of the best pousadas I've stayed at in Bahia. Breakfast was perfect too, I could not get enough of the fried plantain.

I came to Curumuxatiba to look at a few pousadas. The likely owner met me at the door, and when I asked the price and whether there was any room to negotiate, she looked at me with disdain and said that was the price, with no willingness to talk. She judged me by how I was dressed, shirtless in swim shorts. Sadly, people who work with other people still judge them by their clothes, and probably by the car they drive too. I didn't stay, and never will. I stayed at Pousada Mankuso instead, where the service was excellent.
